Samoeng - Chiang Dao: One Day in Thailand on a Harley Davidson

This ride features forested Mountain roads heading north to the rugged picturesque mountain and cave network of Chiang Dao. This is one of the most popular day rides among local riders.

The roads are wide and smooth, with plenty of bends and good views of the villages in the valley and surrounding mountains.
 
There are a number of attractions you may want to ask your guide about, including: Monkey Shows, snake shows, butterfly farms, drift carts & offroad ATV rides.
 
We continue North to enjoy a great lunch at the base of a mountain in a very relaxed and picturesque setting, at a little hidden gem of a restaurant. Return to Chiang Mai via the smooth and easy, highway 107.

• Depart Chiang Mai 9:00 AM
• Travel south to Hang Dong and head west into the foothills
• Ride on beautifully forested mountain roads towards Samoeng
• Turn right just before Samoeng onto one of the most popular motorcycle roads in Chiang Mai
• Stop at Queen Sikirit Botanical Gardens relax, maybe grab a bite to eat.
• Follow the mountain road back to Mae Rim and head north to Chiang Dao Cave and the herbal medicine market.
• Return through Mae Rim.

While in Chiang Dao you maight want to pick up some special herbal medicines. While many have real healing and symptom relieving properties, The ladies selling the herb will assure you they will all give you that "Special Strength."
