Harley Davidson parked at a Thialand Hotel
Parked for the evening among a few other bikes, One of our Harley Davidson Dyna Glides waits for the next day's ride.
The roads to Mae Hong Son is a full days ride. We've scheduled a lunch stop in Mae Sariang by the river.

After lunch it's about an hour ride to Khun Yuam, the Japanese - Thai friendship museum is a good excuse for a short stop. We'll arrive in Mae Hong Son with plenty of time to check into your hotel and relax before dinner maybe enjoy a drink or two by the lake.
After breakfast we take an unrelentlingly twisty road to Pai, with a couple of well earned scenic breaks, that offer great photo ops. Sink a few, and enjoy an authentic Thai Banquette in Pai Valley by the river as the sun goes down. Pai has a vibrant night market and some good live music later in the evening.

After breakfast we can ride an elephant to the river for a swim, before more serpentine roads take us down the mountain towards our resort in Chiang Dao.
Dusk along the Pai River
The Following day sees us riding north to Mae Salong. Mae Salong was founded by Yunanese Kuomintang refugees who fled first to burma and then Thailand. The town has a very Chinese feel and an interesting history.

We head further North on mountain roads through the Doi Tung National Park before descending toward the burmese border town of mae sai.

Day Five takes us to Chiang Saen and the Legendary golden triangle. We can take a short boat trip on the Mekong river to Lao (No Visa required) and ride to the white temple (Extraordinary contemporary artwork). We stop again at a restaurant by the river that has the best cakes in Thailand, and then it's home to Chiang Mai.

Wat Rong Khun

Temples in Thailand are built in many different traditional styles. Unless specifically asked, we do not load our tours with visits to temples. Wat Rong Khun is unlike any temple in Thailand. If You are riding Harley Davidson North to Mae Sai, Chiang Rai or Chiang Saen, you just gotta see this one.

The temple is a work of art conceived by Chalermchai Kositpipat. Stark white with highlights of mirrored glass it combines modern and traditional Thai art.
